I'm an FCA-qualified tax professional. Since 2017 I've been on a mission to make Bangladesh's tax and personal finance system understandable to ordinary people — through books, YouTube, courses, live sessions, and one-on-one work.
My story
In 2017 I started running tax training sessions for individual taxpayers in Bangladesh. Session after session, I noticed the same two problems coming up — people were missing out on tax rebates they were fully entitled to, and almost nobody had a savings plan. Two solvable problems. Nobody had solved them simply.
So I started writing. First for bdnews24.com, then for The Daily Star's Money Talk column. The more I wrote, the more I heard from readers who said the same thing: this is the first time someone has explained this in a way I actually understand. That kept me going.
In 2022 I published স্মার্ট মানি হ্যাকস (Smart Money Hacks) — a personal finance book written specifically for Bangladeshi salaried professionals. It became a Rokomari bestseller, was featured in Prothom Alo and Jaijaidin, and put the combination of savings strategy and tax thinking together in one place for the first time in Bengali.
Since then I have built out a full platform — a YouTube channel with two weekly series (Tax Tuesday and Money Monday), live and recorded courses, a tax return preparation service, and one-on-one consultations. All of it has one purpose: to give Bangladeshi professionals the financial knowledge they deserve, in plain language, from someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

Most personal finance educators in Bangladesh are not tax professionals. Most tax professionals don't teach personal finance. I do both — and that combination is why the advice here is different from anything else you will find.

The NBR forms are confusing. The tax law is dense. My job is to translate all of it into language that a salaried professional can understand and act on — without needing a law degree or an accountant to interpret it for them.
